In my quest for a baseball cap, I have bumped into this cap all too often. My question is where the heck did this NY come from? Don’t these things need to be approved by someone? Obviously no one asked me because I don’t approve. Jeff how could you let something like this just slip through the cracks??? All the other teams appear to be using correct logos on this style cap. Was it just too difficult to use a REAL Mets logo despite the surplus of logos to choose from?

This logo reminds me of the fake-unis that used to be in Newsday commercials in the late 80s.
Been seeing this all over. Maybe they will switch to it before they move to Mercury in 2021.
